Each date has its own unique caption that will be shown over the count down which is broken down and displayed as Days, Hours, Minutes & Seconds. It also has the ability to show images (either random or static) above or below the countdown. These images can be turned on / off from the a variable in the script.
This count down happens live and you can watch the seconds tick away in front of you. Once the first date has been reached the caption changes to the second and it starts counting down to the second date. The same then applies for the third date. This gives you time to remove or edit the block to add new dates and so on with out having a period where the block remains at zero. Once the block reaches the third date it will simply remain at zero!

Beschreibung: MoviX2 is a small Linux distro on CD aimed at playing multimedia: when you boot your PC with the MoviX2 CD the distro should be able to start X-windows and launch gmplayer, the GUI interface to mplayer, so that you are left with a nice user-friendly interface you can control by your mouse.
At that point you can safely remove the MoviX2 CD and play all multimedia files you want: DVD [no zone constraint], VCD, DivX, avi, mpg, mp3, ogg etc.
The idea of MoviX2 came to solve two different problems arising from MoviX.
First of all with MoviX you cannot watch DVDs, mainly because you have no space to copy vob files in a 700MB MoviX CD.
Furthermore, those of you who have already a big archive of multimedia CDs would probably not happy at the idea of "MoviX-ing" them all.
MoviX2 solves both problems: it is not made to be embedded with the movie in a CD but just to be loaded in a PC to transform it in a true MultiMedia Box, so after that you can extract from your CD/DVD-ROM the MoviX2 CD and insert & play every DVD/VCD/CD you have around.
So remember: MoviX2 is not an "improved" version of MoviX nor a replacement for it! It has a totally different philosophy behind, the mplayer binary is compiled with different options and it is used for different purposes. The name is similar because anyway they are both related to Unix and movies :-)
The exponent on the X of MoviX2 is there to indicate that there are two Xs in MoviX2: one is the X of Unix and the other is the X of XFree86 :-)

You should see the IRC version :D This version only works on Unix/Linux, it makes it easy to add as many chatrooms to your site as you want, and as a result of the connection being kept open and new data delivered on the fly, it's a joy to use and the bandwidth overhead in a busy chat is tiny. When lurking and watching a very active conversation, you can expect each client connected to the server to be pulling down about 50k per hour. It's tested in Avant, Konqueror, Mozilla, Netscape, Internet Explorer, Opera, Nautilus and Galeon (most recent versions of all). Of those, Konqueror doesn't automatically move to the newest line of text, and Galeon doesn't like it at all (although I'm starting to think Galeon maybe just doesn't like *me*) the rest all work and look about as similar as similar things. Oh, and if you want to post pictures, you just enter the URL, they're all the same size in the frame though (so hrunk/grown accordingly)!

Media-Player MoviX2 vs. 0.3.1 Pre 4 exe _POPULAR

Beschreibung: MoviX2 is a small Linux distro on CD aimed at playing multimedia: when you boot your PC with the MoviX2 CD the distro should be able to start X-windows and launch gmplayer, the GUI interface to mplayer, so that you are left with a nice user-friendly interface you can control by your mouse.
At that point you can safely remove the MoviX2 CD and play all multimedia files you want: DVD [no zone constraint], VCD, DivX, avi, mpg, mp3, ogg etc.
The idea of MoviX2 came to solve two different problems arising from MoviX.
First of all with MoviX you cannot watch DVDs, mainly because you have no space to copy vob files in a 700MB MoviX CD.
Furthermore, those of you who have already a big archive of multimedia CDs would probably not happy at the idea of "MoviX-ing" them all.
MoviX2 solves both problems: it is not made to be embedded with the movie in a CD but just to be loaded in a PC to transform it in a true MultiMedia Box, so after that you can extract from your CD/DVD-ROM the MoviX2 CD and insert & play every DVD/VCD/CD you have around.
So remember: MoviX2 is not an "improved" version of MoviX nor a replacement for it! It has a totally different philosophy behind, the mplayer binary is compiled with different options and it is used for different purposes. The name is similar because anyway they are both related to Unix and movies :-)
The exponent on the X of MoviX2 is there to indicate that there are two Xs in MoviX2: one is the X of Unix and the other is the X of XFree86 :-)
