Sendmail vs. 8.12.10
Beschreibung: Sendmail, Inc. and the Sendmail Consortium announce the release of Sendmail Version 8.12.10. It contains a fix for a security problem discovered by Michal Zalewski whom we thank for bringing this problem to our attention. We also want to thank Todd C. Miller for providing a patch. sendmail 8.12.10 also includes fixes for other potential problems, see the release notes below for more details. Sendmail urges all users to either upgrade to sendmail 8.12.10 or apply a patch. Remember to check the PGP signatures of patches or releases obtained via FTP or HTTP (to check the correctness of the patch in this announcement please verify the PGP signature of it). For those not running the open source version, check with your vendor for a patch!

PHPPal vs. 0.2
Beschreibung: Paypal is bar far the cheapest way of receiving credit card funds for internet charges. Check out the prices of the others and you would be amazed at how much they charge to process YOUR money. Also Paypal has a built in system called IPN. This system automatically keeps track of subscriptions, there cost and the duration.
PHPPAL sits in between PHPNuke and paypal. When a customer wants to join your website their information is collected in the normal way, but before the user ID is finished PHPPAL routes the user to PayPal to process the subscription. Paypal then does all of the verification and sends the data back to PHPPAL. If everything is OK with the customers charge PHPPAL sets a flag to allow the customer access.
If the customer cancels his subscription, of the period of the subscription comes to end PayPal sends a command to PHPPAL and PHPPAL sets the flag disallowing access to the site.
As an administrator you still have full control over your members, you can easily change a customers status to allow for free access, as well as access an individual's payment history!

Selecting a new avatar is as easy as browsing through the galleries and clicking on the desired avatar. Uploaded avatars will still have to be entered through the forum's profile, currently if avatar uploading is enabled on your forums the control panel will switch the disabled message to a link to the forum's profile. Updated Now if any type of avatar has been disabled through the forum's admin section, the avatar CP will notify users editing their profile through it!
