Once you have been directed to the myPHPNuke administration page, you will
find 32 different configuration options.
- Split Login / New User Page: This is a mostly a question of
aesthetics. Would you like all of this on one page together, or
separated?
- New User Registration duplicate Key Fix: There have been problems
with some of the PHP-Nuke databases where they didn't allow new users to be
signed up after the first one, 1062: Duplicate entry '2147483647' for key
1. If you get this error, please activate this option and it will allow visitors
to continue to sign-up.
- Put Poll buttons on separate lines: This separates the Poll buttons.
- Use Timezone in Format Timestamp:
- Set the Server Timezone via putenv:
- Which Timezone: Sets which Timezone your Web Site is On.
- Host uses PHP safe_mode: If your web host is using PHP
safe_mode, choose yes.
- Use mysql_pconnect: If your host is connecting to mysql with
mysql_pconnect choose yes.
- Sections can only be viewed by registered users: If you want
your special sections to be available to only registered users,
choose yes.
- Activate random quotes: Either enable or disable the quotes
box.
- Display the fetching display box: This will allow you to
display a nice little "fetching requested page" box, that show in
the middle of the screen while waiting for pages to load.
- Display headlines in a scrolling box: This either enables or disables
the headline applet.
- Display the old news in a scrolling box: Displays old news in a scrolling
side block.
- Display the Netscape Opendir in the links:
- How many days should the last seen entries stay in the database: Sets
the number of days the database stores when users were last seen at your site.
- Display the What's new box at the first page: Sets weather or not
"What's New" is displayed at the top of your sites main page.
- How many entries are displayed at the What's new Page: Sets how many
articles are displayed on your sites main page.
- How many entries per page in the updatelog: This allows you to choose
how many entries will show per page in your update log.
- How strict are the test for new user nicknames: Sets how strict the
rules are for new users choosing their nicknames.
- Name of webmaster: Your name.
- Subject for the confirmation message from the contact us:
This will be the subject for the contact us page.
- Anonymous ID: This is the ID for the "Anonymous" user. Most will
keep this as it is.
- Mail password to New User: Sets weather to email new users their
passwords, or display it on the page.
- Mail ADMIN the password to new user: Select yes to have new users
password mailed to you.
- Mail ADMIN on New User Registration: Select yes to be notified by
email of new user sign-ups.
- Mail ADMIN on New Comment or Reply: Select yes if you would like
to be emailed when a new comment or reply is posted.
- Mail ADMIN on New Poll Comment or Reply: You will be emailed when
a user submits a new Poll comment or reply if you select yes here.
- Mail ADMIN on New Forum Topic: Selecting yes here will set it to
email you when someone posts a new topic in your forum.
- Mail ADMIN on New Guestbook entry: Select yes if you would like guestbook
entries emailed to you.
